Providing support beyond VA hours. VECCS ensures that veterans receive care tailored to their unique needs, particularly when VA-provided services are insufficient. Through additional funding and partnerships, we help cover vital gaps in care, including assistance with daily tasks, transportation to appointments, and specialized care programs designed to support mental and physical well-being. By extending services, VECCS aims to foster community integration and a sense of purpose for veterans who may otherwise be isolated.
Ensuring safety, comfort, and companionship. VECCS focuses on delivering services that help elderly individuals maintain their independence while receiving the support they need. Our programs provide trained caregivers for assistance with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and medication reminders. Beyond physical care, we prioritize emotional well-being by offering companionship and opportunities for social engagement, reducing loneliness and promoting a higher quality of life.
Supporting special needs and medical conditions. Children with complex medical needs are prioritized, recognizing that limited resources often leave this group underserved. Our funding aims to fill those critical gaps, ensuring they get the specialized care they deserve.
A single mother reached out to VECCS when her child with cerebral palsy needed more help than she could provide alone. Through funding from VECCS, a partner agency provided a trained caregiver who offered daily support, allowing the mother to return to work and her child to thrive. 'It felt like a weight had been lifted,' she says."
Many individuals rely on homecare services, but not all receive the adequate number of hours needed for comprehensive support. The VECCS Homecare Assistance Program (HAP) ensures that individuals who require additional homecare hours—beyond what is already provided by other programs—receive the necessary care.
